Flying Aces to Start Regular Season at 2018 USHL Fall Classic

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Central Illinois Flying Aces will begin their fifth season in the United States Hockey League with a pair of games at the 2018 USHL Fall Classic at the Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.

The Flying Aces will face two Western Conference foes at the Fall Classic, squaring off against the Sioux Falls Stampede on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. CT and the Waterloo Black Hawks on Friday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. CT.

For the first time, the Fall Classic will be part of the regular season schedule, stretching the league slate to 62 games for the 2018-19 season. All 17 USHL teams will play a pair of games at the Fall Classic, which will run from Sept. 27-30 at the Pittsburgh Penguins' primary practice and training facility.

Following the Fall Classic, the Flying Aces open the home slate of the regular season with a pair of games at Grossinger Motors Arena in downtown Bloomington during the first weekend of October. Central Illinois will drop the puck on the home season on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7:07 p.m.
