
Flyers win again

Orange County Flyers News Release
The Orange County Flyers closed the first half with yet another win to finish up in 1st place at 28-15. The Flyers won 6-3 at Blair Field in Long Beach behind a great start from Charles Merricks.
Pat Breen supplied the early and only offense for the Flyers. He drove in two runs in the 1st inning on a double and followed that with a 2-Run HR in the 2nd. Fernando Pacheco and Jermy Acey added RBIs for the first half champions.
Merricks pitched seven strong innings, before Dane De La Rosa closed it out in the 9th to pick up his fifth save.
The Flyers and the Armada will continue their five game series tomorrow night at Blair.
The Armada finished up the first half of the season at 22-22.
