The Orange County Flyers powered their way past the St. George RoadRunners 11-7 Monday with a five homerun barrage at Bruce Hurst Field.
Jeff LaRue smashed two solo blasts and rookie Terry Mermer cracked two opposite field homeruns, including his first career homerun. Pat Breen added his league leading 23rd homerun of the season.
Bob Cramer pitched seven innings to earn his sixth straight win.
The Flyers were shorthanded without the injured Jermy Acey, Jeff Van Houten and Brian Rios, but the new Flyers, Mermer and David Keesee, stepped up in the victory.
