
Florida State League Names Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Florida State League named today the Player and Pitcher of the week for the period May 7- May 13, 2012.
The Player of the week was Fort Myers Miracle Outfielder Lance Ray. In six games, he had eight hits in 19 plate appearances for a .421 batting average. His hits included one homerun and four doubles. He had nine RBI's and scored six times. He also had one stolen base. His OBP was .542 and his slugging average was .789. Lance resides in Las Vegas, NV and is in his third year in professional baseball.
The Pitcher of the week was Daytona Cubs Left-Hander Eric Jokisch. He started two games, recorded two wins, and had a 0.00 ERA. In 13 innings he allowed eight hits, gave up no walks, and struck out 16 batters. Eric is in his third year of professional baseball and was born in Virginia, IL.
