
Florida State League Names Pitcher & Player of the Week

The Florida State League named announced today the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period July 21 "" July 27, 2014.
The Player of the Week was Charlotte Stone Crabs Catcher Justin O'Conner. He played in six (6) games and had 10 hits in 26 plate appearances for a .385 batting average. His hits included four (4) homeruns and two (2) doubles. He had seven (7) RBI's. His OBP was .385 and his slugging average was .923. Justin is in his fifth year of professional baseball and his hometown is Muncie, IN.
The Pitcher of the Week was Dunedin Blue Jays Right-hander Taylor Cole. He started two (2) games and had a 1-1 record. His ERA was 1.50. In 12 innings pitched he allowed five (5) hits, 2 runs, gave up three (3) walks, and struck out twenty-one (21) batters. He is in his fourth year of professional baseball and he was born in Las Vegas, NV.
