Florida started their busy weekend with a dominant performance. The Seals kept the scoreboard busy with their second seven-goal game in two weeks. David Deeves made history as he scored the first hat trick in Florida Seals franchise history. Justin Keller was right on Deeves' heels with a two goal and two assist performance. Morgan Smietana looked strong in the net making 40 saves to earn his second victory of the season.
FRI Dec. 2 SEALS @ Jacksonville (6-2 WIN) 7:05 p.m. Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena
Morgan Smietana got the start in net for the second straight night and his team provided him with another strong offensive effort. Unlike the night before almost every Seals player got in the act of scoring. Rob Sich had his best game in his young career scoring two goals. Steve Zoryk and David Deeves each added a goal and an assist.
SAT Dec. 3 Jacksonville @ SEALS (5-2 WIN) 7:35 p.m. Silver Spurs Arena
The Seals finished off a perfect weekend with a perfect third period. Just before the game, the Barracudas pulled off a major trade sending their leading scorer to Pee Dee. After a scoreless first period, the teams traded goals during the second period. The Seals fired on all cylinders in the final frame to squeeze out the three-goal victory against the rivals. Justin Keller, David Deeves, Steve Zoryk and Craig Miller each had a two-point night to lead Florida to their fourth win in a row.
