Florida Panthers Acquire F Greg McKegg

SUNRISE, FLA. - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has acquired F Greg McKegg from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for F Zach Hyman and a conditional Florida 2017 seventh-round draft pick.

McKegg, 23, played in 62 games with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) last season, ranking second on the club in goals (22) and fourth in points (37). He also appeared in three games with Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2014-2015 season. For his career in the AHL, McKegg has played in 190 games, all with the Marlies, registering 108 points (50-58-108) with 92 PIM.

The St. Thomas, Ontario, native was drafted by Toronto in the third round (62nd overall) in the 2010 NHL Draft.
