
Florida acquires Sorrentine

GREENVILLE, S.C., February 12 - The Florida Flame has claimed guard T.J. Sorrentine from the NBA Development League available player pool and waived forward Jonathan Moore.
Sorrentine, 5-11, 185, played his collegiate basketball at the University of Vermont, where he averaged 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 2004-05. He led the Catamounts to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances. He finished third in the America East Conference in scoring, but led the league in three-point field goal percentage at .400 (116-290) and three-pointers made per game (3.74) on 04-05.
The America East player of the Year after averaging 19.4 points as a Vermont sophomore (2003-04), Sorrentine played for the Miami HEAT in the Summer Pro League in Long Beach, Calif. and for the Milwaukee Bucks at the Minnesota Summer League during the summer of 2005.
Moore played in 24 games (one start) for Florida, averaging 9.4 minutes, 2.9 points and 1.6 rebounds.
