
Flight Upends Altitude

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 9 â Brandon Williams led three Huntsville players in double figures with 11 points as the Flight captured a 76-55 National Basketball Development League exhibition victory over the Asheville Altitude here Saturday at Alabama A&M's Elmore Gym.
Joining Williams in double figures were Lonnie Harrell and Tyrone Mack each with 10 points. Kevin Daley scored a game-high 12 off the bench for the Altitude.
The game started with the team trading buckets on three straight occasions before the Flight used a 7-0 run midway through the first quarter an a bucket by Harrell, a 3-pointer from Bakari Hendrix and a pair of free throws from Williams.
The Flight did not relinquish its lead for the remainder of the contest and took advantages of 20-15 after one period and 38-32 at the half.
Asheville stayed close and trailed just 45-41 in the third quarter before the Flight used a 12-1 run from that point to take a 57-42 advantage early in the fourth quarter.
For the game, the Flight hit 48.1 percent of their shots connecting on 25-of-52. The Altitude hit just 14-of-45 shots for 31.1 percent.
The Flight finish their exhibition slate Monday when they take on Greenville in a 7 pm EST contest at the BI-LO Center. Asheville goes home to face Columbus in a 7:15 pm EST game on Monday.
