Huntsville, Ala. Nov. 29 – Each of the Huntsville Flight's five starters finished the game in double figures as the Flight routed the visiting Columbus Riverdragons 103-83 in tonight's NBDL matchup.

The Flight (2-0) jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, shooting 52.9 percent from the field and sinking 7-of-9 free throws. Huntsville extended its lead to 21 with the score 35-14 at the 9:07 mark of the second quarter.

The Riverdragons (0-3) battled back in the third quarter, outscoring the Flight 31-23 to pull within 11 points. That was as close as the Riverdragons would get. The Flight responded sinking its first four shots of the fourth quarter, extending the margin back to 17. The teams then traded baskets until the final buzzer.

"Our guys are just not playing well," said Riverdragons head coach Jeff Malone. "I'm disappointed by the turnovers. This was just not a well played game for us."

The Riverdragons allowed the Flight to score 26 points off 21 turnovers.

"This was a good win for us," said Flight head coach Ralph Lewis. "We pulled away to a big lead and stayed focused and maintained the lead while playing solid defense."

Rod Grizzard led the Flight with 17 points on 5-for-8 shooting while Phil Ricci scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished five assists.

Erron Maxey came off the bench to lead the Riverdragons with 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Courtney James posted 10 points with nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

The Flight returns to action tomorrow night against the Asheville Altitude in its first road game of the season. Tip off is at 5:00 PM EST. The Riverdragons are off until December 3 when they host the Fayetteville Patriots.
