Huntsville Flight News Release
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., May 2, 2002 â The Huntsville Flight will be out in full force tomorrow and Saturday visiting several school and community events in the Tennessee Valley. NBDL Sportsmanship Award winner Mike Wilks, Flight Assistant Coach Ralph Lewis and Flight Mascot Cosmo will join Flight staff at events throughout Huntsville and Decatur.
Below is a look at the Flight's Schedule of Events for Friday and Saturday:
Friday, May 3rd
8:15 â 9:15 a.m.: Mike Wilks at Monte Sano Elementary School Field Day
1107 Monte Sano Drive (Huntsville)
--Flight point guard Mike Wilks will be on hand as 1st graders participate in dribbling relay races and 5th graders challenge him in the basketball shooting game Gotcha/Knockout.
10-11 a.m.: Ralph Lewis at Monte Sano Elementary School Field Day
1107 Monte Sano Drive (Huntsville)
--Flight assistant coach Ralph Lewis will be on hand as 1st graders participate in dribbling relay races and 4th graders challenge him in the basketball shooting game Gotcha/Knockout.
Saturday, May 4th
10 â 11 a.m.: Cosmo at Cycle de Mayo
Wal-Mart, Drake Avenue and South Parkway (Huntsville)
--Flight mascot Cosmo will participate in the Cycle de Mayo charity event, benefiting the Huntsville Child Care Center.
12:30 â 1:30 p.m.: Cosmo at Decatur Public Schools Family Fun Day
McCartney Park, corner of McCartney and Vine Streets (Decatur)
-- Flight mascot Cosmo will be on hand entertaining fans
2 â 3 p.m.: Cosmo at Morgan County Volunteer Rescue Squad Fundraiser
Plum Tree Shopping Plaza, 926 Beltline Rd. (Decatur)
