Florida Flame News Release

FORT MYERS, Fla., October 3, 2005 - The Florida Flame, presented by Century 21 Sunbelt Realty, are teaming up with Auto World, Florida's Motor Sports Magazine Inc., and the First Christian Church of Fort Myers to host the first annual "Hoops, Hot Rods, & Hogs" Car Show on Saturday, December 17 at Germain Arena. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Germain Arena parking lot prior to the Flame's home game versus the Fayetteville Patriots at 6 p.m., and will feature a drawing to win a 1998 Dodge Viper. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Red Cross.

Over 400 cars, trucks, and motorcycles will be entered in the event which will bring new and classic vehicles, car product displays and promotional vehicles to its audience. Vehicles to be displayed include corvettes, custom and exotic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, all motorcycles, and 4x4 trucks. In addition, vendors showcasing the latest, high performance products will be on hand to feature the various innovations from the automotive industry. Plus, all in attendance can view the D.A.R.E Corvette, Red Cross Disaster Relief Vehicle, and the U.S. Army Hummer to be displayed during the event.

The "Hoops, Hot Rods, & Hogs" Car Show is highlighted by the Dodge Viper raffle drawing, to be held during the first quarter of the Flame game versus Fayetteville. Participants who purchase a raffle ticket for a minimum donation of $100 will be entered into the drawing. The 1998 Viper has been donated by Dr. Steve Atwood, a member of the First Christian Church of Fort Myers, whose wish is to assist hurricane relief efforts. Only 2,500 tickets will be sold, totaling $250,000 which will be donated to hurricane relief funds. To view the Dodge Viper and/or purchase raffle tickets, visit Auto World, located at 4015 Fowler Street in Fort Myers, call (239) 938-0040, or contact the First Christian Church of Fort Myers via email at viper@fccfm.org .

"We are always looking for ways to have a positive impact," said Pastor Gary Cox from the First Christian Church of Fort Myers. "When this car was given by Dr. Atwood, it was with the purpose of providing the most relief we could. Our goal is to give $250,000 to hurricane relief in a relatively short amount of time. It's exciting to think that in 10 weeks we can send that much money directly to impact people's lives and at the same time someone will walk away with a $60,000 car for a $100 donation. "

Contests are scheduled for each vehicle classification, with one overall winner from each car, truck, and motorcycle category awarded a contest trophy and the ability to showcase their vehicle inside the Germain Arena at courtside during that evening's Florida Flame game.
