Port Huron Flags News Release

(PORT HURON, MICH.) - Veteran left wing Scott Wray, the second leading scorer for the Elmira Jackals, has been added to Port Huron Flags' roster.

Wray, who was named to the UHL All-Star Team back in January, has recorded 25 goals and 22 assists in 57 games for the Jackals. He will be a contributing factor on special teams, as 24 of his 47 points have come during power plays or penalty killing. The 5-feet-11, 205 pound native of Ottawa, Ontario will sport Flags jersey number 26

During his tenure in juniors, Wray was called up to the CHL's San Antonio Iguanas for the 1999 playoffs, where he netted a goal and 3 assists in 8 games. In the following season, he turned professional, signing with the Birmingham Bulls of the East Coast Hockey League. This season he surpassed the 500 game marker in his career and his experience will be valuable in Port Huron.

"Scott is a veteran that we can play in any situation," said Head Coach Stan Drulia. "He adds a little more size and a little more grit to our front line. Plain and simple, he's a proven goal scorer and we're looking forward to what he can do on the ice."

In exchange for Wray, the Jackals picked up right wing Bobby Kukulka.
