Five New York Players Named to 2015 All-MLL Team Presented by New Balance

Garden City, NY (Aug. 7, 2015) - Major League Lacrosse has announced this year's 2015 All-MLL Team. The roster is comprised players who have made a name for themselves in their respective positions. This team represents the best of the best in the league - the "dream team". Out of all of the MLL teams, 12 players are selected through a voting process involving MLL Coaches and General Managers. Five distinguished New York Lizard players are a part of this roster.

The 8-Time MLL All-Star Paul Rabil makes the roster for the seventh year in a row. The Lizards acquired Rabil earlier this year and there was no turning back. The midfielder is a great contribution to the team as he has netted 29 goals, three two-point goals and had 20 assists just this season.

In three short years, Rob Pannell has become an asset to the New York Lizards as an incredible attackman. His hard work has paid off as he is a part of the 2015 MLL All-Pro Team for the second time. After his two goals in the playoff game against the Boston Cannons, Pannell has netted exactly 100 goals between regular season and playoff games since 2013.

For the fourth consecutive year, Greg "Beast" Gurenlian was placed on the roster. This is one of many accolades Gurenlian has received in the 2015 season. He was also named Coca-Cola MVP, FOAthlete of the Year and Sportsmanship Player of the Year. Gurenlian has earned his impressive reputation by constantly setting new records for himself and the league. He currently sits at 72 percent faceoff win total along with 175 groundballs (statistics include regular season and playoffs).

The 2015 Warrior Defensive Player of the Year Joe Fletcher was selected to be a part of this elite squad. Fletcher has been a key component to the Lizards defense the last two years. This season, Fletcher had 60 groundballs in the regular season. Before entering the MLL, Fletcher played at Loyola University where he was first-team All American twice as well as winning the USILA Schemisser Award.

Also a part of the All-MLL Team is goalie Drew Adams. Adams is constantly putting up impressive numbers including a 56 percent save percentage for the 2015 season. His incredible performance earned him the title "2015 MLL Maverik Goalie of the Year." Adams has been a part of the Lizards family for the past seven years and continues to grow as a player and a teammate.

These five Lizards superstars will hit the field one last time for the year as they battle for the Steinfield Cup. The New York Lizards will face off against the Rochester Rattlers this Saturday, August 8th at 7 p.m. in the Championship Game at Kennesaw Stadium in Georgia.
