
Five Harrisburg Stampede Earn AIFA All-Star Selections

HARRISBURG, PA (October 5, 2010) - The Harrisburg Stampede, who compiled a franchise best 11-3 season in 2010 and also won the team's first playoff game in only its second season of play, had five players earn American Indoor Football Association'(AIFA) post-season honors.
Harrisburg's Randall Bennett, a 6'7", 320 pound lineman from Grambling State was named First Team Offensive Lineman. The Stampede line allowed just over 1.5 sacks per game and also paved the way for one of the AIFA's leading running backs, Eugene Goodman, to rack up 335 rushing yards and 23 rushing scores.
Wide Receiver Keith Stokes was also a first team selection. Stokes led the Stampede in receptions (73), receiving yards (1,009) and ranked second on the team with 13 touchdowns; in just 12 games.
Quarterback Aries Nelson who tossed 25 touchdown passes in just five games, running back Goodman, and wide receiver Silas Daniels, who posted 32 receptions and ten touchdowns in only nine games were all named Alternates on the 2010 AIFA All-Star Team.
The Harrisburg Mascot was also named the AIFA's Mascot of the Year.
