New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- BallparkDigest.com has awarded the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, today with the Best New Uniform Design for the 2008 season. The Fisher Cats updated uniforms boast the team's new colors - emerald green, black, white and silver - along with the Fisher Cats' new image designed by Rickabaugh Graphics of Gahanna, OH.
"Uniform redesigns these days are becoming more and more common, but the thing that struck us about the new Fisher Cats design was the clean design combined with a memorable mark," said Kevin Reichard, Publisher of August Publications. "The look was consistent, clear and certainly not fussy."
The redesigned home uniforms are white with black piping around the arms and neck, down the front of the jersey and along the side of the legs. "Fisher Cats" is displayed in script across the chest in emerald green lettering with a gold fill and a black outline. There is also a home alternate white sleeveless uniform with the green "NH" logo on the left breast.
The primary road uniform is gray with black piping around the arms. "New Hampshire" is spelled out in black, all-capital block lettering across the chest with a white fill and gold outline. A black alternate jersey featuring a gold overlapping "FC" logo outlined in green on the left breast also serves as the club's batting practice jersey. A silver Fisher Cat's paw holding a baseball decorates the left sleeve of each uniform version.
"A lot of work went into the design of our new uniforms and logo during our transition period last fall, so we are very excited to receive this honor from Ballpark Digest," said New Hampshire Fisher Cats President Rick Brenner. "Our new look was very well received by our fans and players, and receiving this honor shows our revamped uniforms were recognized on a national level as well."
