First Round Jets Playoff Schedule Announced

Fargo (ND) The Fargo-Moorhead Jets will face the North Iowa Outlaws in the first round of the North American Hockey League playoffs beginning this week, after seeding was finalized on the last day of the regular season, Saturday. The Best-of-Five series will follow the traditional 2-2-1 format, with the FM Jets hosting games one, two and five (if necessary). A full schedule is listed below.
The FM Jets (37-19-6, 80pts) were the regular season champions in the Central Division and will be the #1 seed in the division playoffs which last the first two rounds. Making their first playoff appearance, North Iowa (27-29-6, 60pts) finished in fourth place.
The FM Jets won the season series 6-2, and have taken 13 of 15 games all-time against North Iowa.
This is the second time the FM Jets have faced a Dave Boitz coached squad in the postseason. Boitz -who is the head coach of North Iowa - was the head coach of the Minnesota Blizzard when the FM Jets swept them in the first round of the 2004-2005 West Division playoffs.
The FM Jets are 13-9 in the postseason all-time.
In the Central Division's other first round series, #2 Southern Minnesota faces #3 Alexandria in a rematch of last year's first round series.
