First Revolution Player Tryout-Combine Slated for October 30

October 21, 2005 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
New Jersey Revolution News Release

The first open player tryout-combine for a roster spot on the 2006 New York - New Jersey Revolution, the newest member of the Great Lakes Indoor Football League, will take place on Sunday, October 30 at Tab Ramos Sports Center, 17 Blair Road, Aberdeen, NJ, from 9:30 am - noon. Registration begins promptly at 9 am and includes a $35 processing fee payable in cash only on the day of the tryout-combine. Participants should wear workout attire and shoes appropriate for field turf. All players must be 18 and over and will be required to sign a waiver form.

Potential players will be reviewed in the following events: 40-yard dash, 20-yard pro shuttle, box drill and possibly the 225-lb. bench press. Participants will also take part in one-on-one drills against players with professional arena and indoor experience in order to properly evaluate the potential player's skill level. One-on-one drills are included in the tryout to simulate actual game situations and the results will weigh heavily on a potential player's final rating, rather than just combine results alone. Prospects from the New York and New Jersey areas are especially encouraged to attend. All potential players must tryout regardless prior professional experience.

For additional information about the tryout-combine on October 30, please email team@nynjrevolution.com. For directions to Tab Ramos Sport Center, visit www.tabramossportscenter.com.

The New York-New Jersey Revolution is the New York tri-state area's newest professional indoor football team owned and operated by Champion Sports and Entertainment Management. The Revolution will begin its franchise history with the Great Lakes Indoor Football League in April 2006.
