Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

Fargo (ND) After over three weeks on the road, spending an estimated 60 hours on a bus, and logging over 2600 miles, the Fargo-Moorhead Jets return to the Carlson Coliseum on Friday night to take on the North Iowa Outlaws at 8:05pm

It's the FM Jets' first home game since Dec. 29, and ends a string of seven consecutive road games. While the road trip wasn't particularly successful for the FM Jets, it wasn't a disaster either as they went 3-3-1 and stayed in first place in the North American Hockey League's Central Division.

The FM Jets (25-11-3) begin what will be a three-game home stand with a single game this weekend, against a struggling North Iowa team. North Iowa (12-22-3) sits in the Central Division's basement and have lost 15 consecutive divisional games, with their last win against a divisional rival coming Oct. 15.

North Iowa has also had plenty of roster turnover with over 40 players, including six goaltenders, wearing the Outlaws jersey at one point this season.

The FM Jets are a perfect 5-0-0 versus North Iowa this season, including wins this past weekend by a combined 9-2 margin on the road. Following a 5-2 win at North Iowa on Saturday, the FM Jets then posted a 4-0 shutout in a Sunday matinee.

North Iowa is in their first season in the North American Hockey League, and are based in Mason City, IA, the former home of the United States Hockey League's North Iowa Huskies until 1999.

The FM Jets are the 2005 Borne Cup Champions and are in their third season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 30th year of operation.

Jets home games are played at the John E. Carlson Coliseum in Fargo, ND. All games are broadcast at 103.9 THE TRUCK and fmjets.com.
