Tupelo FireAnts Head Coach, Bobby Hall, will be the featured speaker at the Tupelo Luncheon Civitans Club tomorrow, Thursday, August 7th.
Hall, named Head Coach of the FireAnts in early July, is wasting no time in preparing for the 2004 season, from player recruitment to community speaking engagements.
The Tupelo Luncheon Civitans meet at the Ramada Inn on North Gloster Street starting at 11:30am on Thursday.
"I always enjoy getting out there and speaking with the public," Coach Hall said. "We have a full slate of events coming up in the area, and I look forward to spreading the word about Tupelo FireAnts Football."
The FireAnts will hold their first team tryout for the 2004 season on Saturday, August 16th at Robbins Field in Tupelo, located at the corner of Jackson and Church streets. Registration begins at 8:00am and interested participants will need to bring cleats, running shoes, and workout clothing appropriate for the weather. The cost is $50, and includes a FireAnts T-Shirt, and two tickets to the 2004 season home opener. For more information, call the âAnts at (662) 620-BITE.
