
Fire Try-Out This Saturday

The Louisville Fire arenafootball2 team will hold an open try-out this Saturday October 30. The try-out will be for wide receivers, defensive backs, running backs, and quarterbacks only. This will be the Fire's first open try-out looking for talent for the 2005 season.
The try-out will take place at Old Cardinal Stadium at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center starting at 9:30 A.M. The try-out will cost $40 and participants can begin registering at 8:00 A.M. the morning of the try-out. Participants are encouraged to wear turf shoes and dress for appropriate weather. Participants must be at least 19 years old and bring proof of age.
"We are going to test players on strength, agility, quickness, speed and coach ability," said Fire head coach Tommy Johnson.
Participants will go through a 40-yard dash, the shuttle run and be tested on running routes and throwing the ball for quarterbacks. The try-out will last approximately two and a half to three hours.
