
Fire signs reigning PDL MVP

WENATCHEE, WA - Ceveriano, (Junior) Garcia, USL's Premier Development League 2008 MVP has signed a Professional Arena Soccer League contract with the Wenatchee Fire FC.
Garcia, a 22-year-old striker/mid-fielder, joins Brandon Hammer as the second player to be signed by the Wenatchee Fire FC who will begin their inaugural PASL season November 15, 2008 when they open against the Stockton Cougars at the brand new Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, WA.
Garcia has been one of the regions top tier players since emerging from Sunnyside High School with 120 goals to his credit. "Junior Garcia has the whole package, speed, natural talent, and the physic. He is unselfish on and off the field," said Juan Pineda, Junior's coach at Sunnyside HS. "Junior has great potential to be the best in soccer and to play with any team he wants if he dedicates himself 100% to soccer. . . . any team would be lucky to have him as a player," said former coach, Brian Galvan, who was instrumental in Junior's development as a youth player.
"Junior has proven himself as a top flight player at every level in his very young career," said, Mike Osborn, General Manager and Head Coach of the Wenatchee Fire FC. "We expect that his development and success will continue as he takes this next step. He is a very intelligent and game savvy player. He has a great sense for what is going on around him and is very adept at doing the right things at the right time to make a big impact on the field. Junior will bring great leadership to the team and will be a solid role model both on and off the field for the 126,000 plus youth that play soccer in Washington State."

PASL-Pro is a new professional arena soccer league whose inaugural season kicks off October 25, 2008 when the Stockton Cougars host the Colorado Lightning. PASL-Pro consists of 8 US teams, the CMISL, and LMFR. The San Diego Sockers and a yet-to-be-named team in Utah have been added for the 2009/10 season. PASL Premier just completed its 10th season as the nation's top amateur arena soccer league. PASL-Pro and PASL-Premier are members of the Federacion Internacional de Futbol Rapido (FIFRA).
