ONE DOWN 15 TO GO... The Fire opened the season last Saturday against Cincinnati with a 36-25 victory to start the season 1-0 for the first time in franchise history. With the win over Cincinnati and losses by both Peoria and Green Bay the Fire sits atop the Midwest Division.

TUNE INTO WKJK-AM 1080 Saturday night to listen to the Fire vs. Cape Fear game. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. and local legend Paul Wilman will be doing the play-by-play for the Fire this season.

ON THE ROAD... The Fire will travel to Cape Fear to take on the Wildcats on Saturday night in the Cumberland County Crown Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Cape Fear is in their second season in af2. The Wildcats finished last season with a 13-3 record including a 2-1 record in the playoffs.

THOMPSON CLOSE TO A RECORD... Fire defensive specialist Arkee Thompson had two interceptions against Cincinnati, earning him af2 ADT Defensive Player of the Week honors. Arkee, with 19 career interceptions, is just six picks shy of the all-time af2 record.

LOUISVILLE FIRE FOOTBALL & KENTUCKY HARVEST are officially kicking off the partnership to collect cans. We are trying to collect 10,065 cans this season, which was our average attendance last season. Fire fans can drop cans in the Kentucky Harvest bins in the front of Freedom Hall at all eight home games.
