Louisville Fire News Release

Louisville, KY-The Louisville Fire Arena Football team has been assigned two key veterans from the 2007 team Thomas Coleman (6'5, 332 lbs., University of South Carolina) and Lonnell Dewalt (6'6, 230 lbs., University of North Alabama).

Coleman joined the Fire towards the end of the 2007 season. He appeared in five games primarily as an offensive linemen but he did see some action on the defensive side of the ball. He recorded three tackles and one for a loss.

"Thomas [Coleman] has valuable experience," stated Head Coach Tommy Johnson when asked about Coleman. "He played in Steve Spurrier's passing style offense makes him ideal for the arena game."

Dewalt appeared in 12 games in 2007. He had 33 receptions, 442 yards, and 11 touchdowns on the offensive side and 22.5 tackles and three pass deflections on the defensive side of the ball. Dewalt still holds the record for most blocked kicks by a freshman in the Southeastern Conference.

"He is an amazing athlete with limitless potential," stated Johnson about Dewalt. "He has the ability to break a game open at any time."

The Louisville Fire will kickoff the 2008 season against the Iowa Barnstormers on March 29. Season tickets for the 2008 Fire season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 502.368.0009 today. Season ticket packages begin at $72.
