Final Four Home Games for Rapids
July 24, 2018 - Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL)
Watertown Rapids News Release
The Watertown Rapids are entering their final week of games in the regular season, with seven games in seven days. On the field, each game is more important than the last as the Rapids fight for a playoff berth in their first season. Off the field, fans can expect some exciting promotions to close out the season.
The 7-game stretch begins on Wednesday the 25h in Oneonta. Before taking on the Outlaws, the Rapids will make a stop in Cooperstown to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame, as many teams do when passing through. Field Manager David Anderson is excited about this opportunity for his team, "We have players from all over the country so there are a lot of guys who haven't had the opportunity to visit the Hall of Fame. It will be a really cool experience for everyone."
Fans will be treated to an unique theme at Thursday night's home game, as we celebrate Christmas in July! There will be Christmas music throughout the game, Christmas decorations, and prizes for fans. Thursday night is also Business & Baseball Chamber Night. Chamber members can purchase $15 tickets into a networking event in the third base party deck area. There will also be a Teddy Bear Toss where fans are encouraged to bring stuffed animals to throw onto the field at a certain point in the game. These stuffed animals will then be donated to the Watertown Urban Mission.
First responders will be recognized at Saturday's home game, with our final post-game fireworks show of the season. First responders, spouses and children can purchase $15 and $12 tickets prior to the game that include admission into the game, two drinks, and a hot dog.
Monday night will feature our first all you can eat section on the first base side for groups. Group tickets to this area are filling up fast and can be purchased at $15 at a minimum of 10 people.
The regular season will conclude on Tuesday the 31st versus the Saugerties Stallions. This is the only time this season that the Stallions make the trip to Watertown. As the final home game of the regular season, it will be Fan Appreciation Night. There will be many giveaways throughout the game and single tickets will be sold for the all you can eat section. All youth baseball and softball players who come to the game in their team jersey will be admitted for free.
Stay tuned for various promotions that may be added to games and for updates on the Rapids' playoff status on watertown-rapids.com.
