Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Fighting Saints will host the Green Bay Gamblers in Dubuque tonight at 7:05, aiming to grab a victory over the USHL's top team. The Fighting Saints are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, but are only four points behind the Youngstown Phantoms for second place, which would earn the team a first-round bye. Tonight's game will be the final meeting of the regular season between the Fighting Saints and Gamblers, with Green Bay having taken four of the five meetings between the two squads prior to tonight.

The Gamblers had their eight-game winning streak snapped last Saturday night, falling to the Indiana Ice in Green Bay for only their eighth loss of the season. The Gamblers have not lost back to back games, in either regulation or overtime, at any point during this season. *Nolan LaPorte*, who scored two goals against Dubuque one week ago, leads the Gamblers with 28 goals and 56 points.

The Fighting Saints will host the Sioux City Musketeers tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. The following Thursday, Team USA will visit the Key City. The Fighting Saints will then go on the road for four straight games, and will next play in Dubuque in the final weekend of March.

Tonight's game will be a rematch of the 2011 Clark Cup Final, and potentially an Eastern Conference playoff preview for the upcoming postseason. The pairing of those two teams at the Mystique Community Ice Center should be compelling by itself, but wait - there's more! The Fighting Saints will hold "A Night for Infomercials" as part of the festivities surrounding the game, paying tribute to some late-night cable-programming favorites throughout the evening.

Pregame coverage for tonight's game begins at 6:40 on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com. Streaming video coverage is available on FastHockey.com.
