Fifth Time This Season a Rage Player is Honored by League

St. Charles, MO - The United Indoor Football League has named Rage safety, Milton Proctor, its "Defensive Player of the Week" for his efforts this past weekend. Proctor tallied a four tackles (three solo, two assisted) and also intercepted his league-leading eighth pass of the season in the 41-13 Rage victory over the Wild in Wichita. The St. Louis native and Kansas State alum ranks third on the team with 50.5 tackles on the season.

This marks the fifth time a Rage player has been awarded by the UIF this season. Rage receiver, Hurtis Chinn, has twice been named "Special Teams Player of the Week." In week 1 of the UIF season he recorded 178 all-purpose yards in RiverCity's 42-35 victory over the Colorado Ice and was honored again after week 10 as he returned four kicks for 111 yards with a long of 38 yards in a loss at the Sioux Falls Storm.

Following their game in Week 2, Rage defensive end, Terrell Washington, was honored as "Defensive Player of the Week" as he totaled 4.5 tackles and blocked two field goals. The second proved to be the game-winner as it went for a safety with 1:02 left in the game, giving the Rage a 26-25 win in Wichita over the Wild.

Rage linebacker, Joe Bevis, was named "Defensive Player of the Week" following his outstanding play in week 3 of the season. The University of Illinois alum recorded a UIF season-high 14 tackles, including one for a loss and one quarterback hurry in RiverCity's 36-18 defeat of the Omaha Beef at the Family Arena.

The Rage return home this Saturday, after four straight weeks on the road, as they play host to their rival Extreme from Bloomington at the Family Arena at 7:00. Fans make sure to get to the Family Arena early for the 2008 RiverCity Rage Pre-Game BBQ. This special event begins at 4:00 and will run until 6:00. This is a great opportunity to mix and mingle with all of your favorite Rage players, coaches and cheerleaders in a fun, relaxed setting. Take pictures and get autographs while enjoying all of the excitement of the Rage Pre-Game BBQ. There will be discounted food and drinks for everyone! No outside food or beverages are allowed.
