NASHVILLE - The second annual Nashville SC FIFA Tournament will be held on Thursday night at Nashville Palace, and it is sure to be a fun night for all in attendance, gamers or not, with prizes, giveaways and appearances by Nashville SC players.
For a $50 entry fee, participants will be ensured at least two FIFA games, a 2018 Nashville SC jersey, a club scarf and are entered to win free food for a year from Scoreboard Bar and Grill. The tournament will be double elimination. The FIFA Tournament winner will receive a 2019 Nashville SC on-field experience, while the runner-up will receive a GameStop gift card.
"When we held this last year for the first time, it was a really unique and fun event for all of us involved," said Chris Jones, Nashville SC GM, Broadcast and Fan Experience. "We are excited to be able to put this tournament on again, and this time it will be even more special with some of our players involved."
There are still spots remaining for fans who would like to play. Sign up now! Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the tournament will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Parking is available on-site behind Nashville Palace. There will be signs to direct fans to the front entrance.
While the main spectacle will be the video games, the USL Cup Final between Louisville City FC and Phoenix Rising FC will also be broadcast at the venue. All fans are welcome to come watch soccer, FIFA or USL. The Cup Final will begin at 7 p.m.
"We all love watching soccer, whether video games or the real thing," Jones said. "Thursday night will be a great time for Nashville SC fans."
