Fever signs former NFL Kansas CIty Chief and New Orleans Saint

Kennewick WA. - The Tri-Cities Fever of the National Indoor Football League are proud to announce the signing of linebacker, Ron Childs out of Washington State University.

Childs pro career includes the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL), New Orleans Saints (NFL) from 94-96, the Scottish Claymores (NFLE) in 1997 and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL) in 98 and 99.

He attended Washington State University from 1990 to 1994 where he was named PAC 10 All Conference Linebacker, was defensive captain and a semi-finalist for the Butkus Award in 1994.

He is a 1990 graduate of Kamiakin High School in Kennewick, WA, where he was an all conference running back and linebacker along with being named Defensive Player of the Year.

Ron Childs brings a wealth of pro experience to the Fever and will be an impact on the field when the Fever begin their quest for the NIFL Championship in March of 2005.
