
Fever Sign Receiver Willie Downs

The Tri-Cities Fever would like to announce the signing of wide receiver Willie Downs (6'2" 205lbs) from Valdosta State University.
Willie Downs is not new to indoor football. He spent last season with the Sioux City Bandits, where he led the league in yards per catch and was also seventh in the league in receiving yards with 49.4 per game. He totaled 23 receptions for 9 touchdowns.
During the one season Downs was at Valdosta State he recorded 33 receptions for 496 yards.
Prior to Valdosta State, Willie Downs played at Fullerton Community College and Pearl River community College. Willie Downs was ranked the number 3 wide receiver in the nation out of high school by Rivals.com and was selected to the Army All American team.
The Tri-Cities Fever is a member of the Indoor Football League, playing its home games at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington.
