
Fever sign nose guard

Kennewick, WA - The Fever announce that they have signed nose guard Garrett Smith. Smith was brought in after injuries to Josh Jelinek and Robert Polecki created a spot on the roster. The Fever will also activate Mac Tuiaea for this weeks game as well. Tuiaea has been on injured reserve.
Smith is 6'3" and 280 purnds. he played his college ball at the University of Utah and most recently played in the Canadian Football League. He attended high school in the Tacoma, Washington area and was residing there before joining the Fever.
Josh Jelinek suffered a shoulder injury in last Sunday's game and is undergoing tests this week to see what his future status will be with the Fever. Robert Polecki, starting his first game for the Fever against Corpus Christi in the nose guard position, suffered a knee sprain. He is on a week to week basis.
