Festive 8th Annual Chili Cook-off set for April 3

DANBURY, CT: The Danbury Westerners, the longest tenured team in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, are proud to announce that in conjunction with The Danbury Sports Dome, Fairfield County Bank, and a group of dedicated volunteers are proud to once again offer the "8th Annual Chili Warm- Up" at Danbury Sports Dome on Sunday, April 3 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. This year we are pleased to announce that our Hot Stuff Title sponsor is Fairfield County Bank.

The Chili Winter Warm-Up from 1:00-4:00pm provides fun for families where there will be a series of activities for young and old; including chili sampling, face painting, coloring, clown, live music from Dave King, the Mad Hatters, Men Without Instruments and more! Cost is $5.00 a person or $15 for a family (up to five members).

All chili cooks are invited as the competition is open to nonprofit community organizations, fraternal organizations, restaurants/caterers, first responders and the general public. The entry fee for all divisions is $45 for a team of four and it includes a business card ad in the program. Nonprofit winners will be awarded cash prizes, 1st $500, 2nd $250 and 3rd $100. Winners from the Restaurant/Caterer division, the First Responders and the Open categories will receive plaques and bragging rights.
