Bluefins Blank Aviators, 3-0
BROOKLYN, New York - Chris Testa stopped all 39 shots he faced to propel the Cape Cod Bluefins over the Brooklyn Aviators, 3-0, on Saturday night in Federal Hockey League action at the Aviator Sports and Events Center.
Billy Tibbets netted the third goal for the Bluefins late in the final period to ice the victory for Cape Cod, giving the former NHLer two points on the night.
Cape Cod struck first in the opening frame at the 9:47 mark on AJ Tesoriero's second goal of the season. Line mate David Lun fed him a perfect pass in front of A's netminder Jo St. Pierre, and Tesoriero tapped the puck home to give the Bluefins a 1-0 lead after twenty.
Kevin McCready doubled the Bluefins lead, 2-0, with his eighth tally of the campaign at the 12:35 spot of the second period. McCready buried a one-timer from the right wing circle on a beautiful pass from Tibbets.
St. Pierre stopped 26 in the losing effort, while Testa earned his third win of the season in the shutout victory.
The Aviators close out their five-game home stand with a Sunday matinee game against the defending FHL champs, the Akwesasne Warriors. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:05 PM and can be viewed live via the FHL broadcast network, powered by LiveSportsVideo.com.

Outlaws Winning Streak Up To 12
Wayne,NJ- The New Jersey Outlaws took on the Akwesasne Warriors tonight at the Ice Vault. The Warriors are the defending champs of the Federal Hockey League. The Outlaws won their 12th straight game. It was the first meeting between the two teams. The Outlaws got on the board first in the first period and then the Warriors tied it. At the end of the first period the Outlaws had a 2-1 lead. New Jersey scored two goals in the second period and Akwesasne didn't score any. The third period New Jersey scored three goals and Akwesasne scored one.
Reese scored the first goal for the Outlaws and was assisted by Snyder and Mori. Battaglia scored the second goal and was assisted by Mori and Reese. Oke scored the next two goals, one was unassisted and the other was assisted by Reese and Miller. Battaglia scored his second goal of the game for the fifth Outlaws goal. Barr and Zaleski scored the final two goals for the Outlaws. It was Zaleski's first goal of the season. The goals were unassisted. The Warriors goals were scored by Dagenais who is a former NHL player and is dominating the league in goals and points. Deschatelets scored the other goal for the Warriors.
Akwesasne was 0-5 on the power play and New Jersey was 4-13 on the power play. The Outlaws outshot the Warriors 53-29. Dan McWhinney got the win in the net for the Outlaws. There were a couple of big fights and it got a little rough at the end of the second period. The rest of the game though was pretty clean and pretty fast skating and an overall good game especially for the Outlaws. The Outlaws will play at Danbury on Friday December 16th at 7:35PM. Their next home game will be on Saturday December 17th against Danbury, also at 7:35. The Outlaws will have a special guest Stan"The Maven" Fischler from MSG. The Outlaws will be looking for their 13th win in a row.
