Edmonton, AB (October 31, 2013) - The 2013 Fall Season will come to a close for FC Edmonton on Saturday, November 3rd as they pay a visit to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium at 5:30pm MT.

The Eddies come into Saturday's match having produced solid performances in the last two weeks, with a 1-1 tie to the league-leading New York Cosmos in Week 12 and a 2-1 win against the Tampa Bay Rowdies in Week 13. "We're looking to build on a terrific performance and win against a quality Tampa Bay side," Coach Colin Miller said. "We now come to Fort Lauderdale who are a much improved side and we'll have a difficult task ahead of us. We will be going for three points because we know the significance of it in the standings. There will be no complacency allowed."

The overall year for FCE has been one of ups and downs. With the second lowest goals against in the NASL, it's no wonder teams don't look forward to play them. However, offence is one part of their game that has struggled throughout the year. Every week should have some positive upside to it, and Week 13 against the Rowdies was one of those weeks. The Eddies continued to push the ball forward and attempt to produce offensive opportunities. For the first time since October 6th, the Eddies managed to score more than one goal with tallies from Northern Ireland's Daryl Fordyce and Robert Garrett. Both men were creating chances throughout, with Garrett generating multiple chances towards goal. It's obvious to think the Eddies and coach Miller will be looking for the same performance from the squad again this week.

From the other side of the pitch, the Strikers will be looking to avenge a 3-1 loss from the hands of Minnesota United FC last week. FCE defence will have to be ready as the Strikers will look to push the tempo and end the Fall season on a high note.
