FCE Preseason Match Preview: vs Kamloops All-Stars

KAMLOOPS, BC (June 27, 2014) - FC Edmonton will start off its July preseason on Sunday, June 29th against a Kamloops Men's All-Star Team at McArthur Island Field #2 in Kamloops, British Columbia (3:00 p.m. PT KO).

"We're very excited about this match," said FC Edmonton head coach Colin Miller. "It's our first preseason game back after the result against Carolina and we hope to carry that momentum forward against the Kamloops All-Star Team."

The Kamloops Youth Soccer Association will be hosting the match in celebration of their 50th anniversary. Tickets will be available at prices of $5 for adults and $3 for children 18 years of age and younger. Children 6 years of age or younger will be admitted free of charge.

"We're very grateful to be a part of the 50th anniversary of the Kamloops Youth Soccer Association," said Miller. "We've chatted about the potential for a friendly match in Kamloops for a while, and we're thrilled that it's all worked out."

Residents, soccer players, and coaches in Kamloops are also invited to watch a FC Edmonton training session with Eddies' head coach Colin Miller for free on Saturday, June 29th at 4:00 p.m. MT at McArthur Island Field #1.

The Eddies play three preseason matches on the road before their Fall Season home opener presented by West Edmonton Mall on Sunday, July 13th when Ottawa Fury FC visit Clarke Stadium. July 13th will also be the first game in which FC Edmonton will play on the new turf installed at Clarke Stadium over the month long North American Soccer League (NASL) break.

FC Edmonton will then travel to Victoria after for a game against the Victoria Highlanders FC on Wednesday, July 2nd before heading across the border for a date with Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders FC on July 6.
