EDMONTON, AB - FC Edmonton (7-4-7) face Jacksonville Armada FC (3-5-9) in the penultimate match of the Eddies' 2015 North American Soccer League (NASL) season. Kick-off for the match at Community First Park is set for Oct. 17 at 5:30 p.m.

The Eddies will be looking to stop a three-game slide and remain in the conversation for an NASL postseason berth. It is the third match in a seven day span for the Edmonton squad, who have fallen to New York Cosmos and Carolina RailHawks in back-to-back matches. As a result, Edmonton remains a point behind fourth-place Tampa Bay Rowdies for the final postseason spot with 34 points in 28 matches. The team will welcome the return of Sainey Nyassi from international duty as well as defender Mallan Roberts to fill the vacancy of suspended captain Albert Watson.

The last-place Armada have posted a win, draw and loss in their previous three matches, suffering a 3-0 defeat in their most recent outing to Carolina RailHawks, Oct. 10 at Wakemed Soccer Park. Alhassane Keita leads Armada in scoring, posting six goals through 18 appearances. Teammates Jemal Johnson and Pascal Millien round out the top-three scorers on the squad with five goals apiece. Goalkeeper Miguel Gallardo has shouldered the bulk of the work this season between the woodwork, making 19 appearances and holding a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 1.63.

The two sides last met April 4 in front of a NASL Modern Era record crowd of 16,164 at Everbank Field in Jacksonville. The Eddies were on the wrong side of the fastest recorded goal in the Modern Era in that match, conceding an opening minute tally to Johnson en route to a 3-1 defeat. The Eddies have since shored up their defence significantly, holding their opponents in the Fall Season to just 20 goals, the second-lowest behind Ottawa Fury FC (13).

"We know we need a bit of a miracle from here on out [to qualify for the postseason]," FC Edmonton head coach Colin Miller stated. "But while there are still points available we owe it to our owners, our fans and ourselves to put in a maximum effort."

The Eddies wrap up their three-game road trip, Oct. 17 against Jacksonville Armada FC at 5:30 p.m. MT. The game will be streamed live on www.fcedmonton.com and www.nasl.com for viewers in Canada, the United States and internationally.
