FC Edmonton (2W-2D-2L) face a quick turnaround after a Sunday match against Ottawa Fury FC, hosting Indy Eleven (1W-2D-2L) Wednesday, July 5 at Clarke Field in a match presented by Oodle Noodle.

The fourth-place Eddies are coming off a close match with Ottawa where the North American Soccer League (NASL) Combined and Fall Season leaders stunned the Eddies deep into injury time in Fort McMurray. Ottawa swung a corner kick into the box and Brazilian defender Rafael Alves' header went off the post and in to give Ottawa the eventual 1-0 victory.

Indy Eleven lost 1-0 to Atlanta over the weekend and are currently eighth in the Fall Season standings with five points. Silverbacks striker Pedro Mendes scored on his former team to hand Indy their second loss of the Fall.

Indy Eleven's leader in goals (3) and assists (4) Dylan Mares had knee surgery at the end of July and will miss the match versus the Eddies. Brazilian World Cup winner Kleberson - who joined Indy prior to the 2014 Spring Season - has been out since May after having surgery on his achilles tendon.

Conversely, the Eddies are coming close to a full squad after having a depleted roster due to injuries and international duties. The Eddies attack has also been bolstered by the addition of El Salvador international Dustin Corea. The 23-year-old midfielder made his Eddies debut against Ottawa in Fort McMurray and was impressive in 69 minutes of play.

Edmonton will look to avenge a 3-0 loss they suffered to Indy Eleven in their Spring Season finale and get back on the winning track as the they play their seventh match of the Fall Season.

"We have to get over the disappointment of losing on such a late goal against Ottawa," FC Edmonton head coach Colin Miller explained. "There is no better way to do that then to have a mid-week game in front of our home fans and under the floodlights-it's the best time to play football...hopefully we can capture three points against a very difficult, a much-improved Indy team."

FC Edmonton take on Indy Eleven this Wednesday, August 5. Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. MT at Clarke Field. The match, presented by Oodle Noodle will be streamed locally on City TV and broadcast live on ESPN3 in the United States. Get tickets to the match HERE.
