
FC Tampa Bay Adds D Watson-Siriboe

TAMPA, Fla. (June 3, 2011) - FC Tampa Bay today announced that it has added defender Kwame Watson-Siriboe on loan from the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer, pending league and USSF approval, for the remainder of the 2011 NASL season. Watson-Siriboe arrived in Tampa Thursday night and is expected to be available for Saturday night's match against Carolina at Al Lang Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
During his rookie season with the Fire, Watson-Siriboe played in 10 matches with seven starts for a total of 681 minutes. Watson-Siriboe helped Chicago Fire to three shutouts last season and also appeared in all three matches of the Superliga, in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and in three international friendlies.
Watson-Siriboe began his soccer career at the University of Connecticut, where he was named Big East Co-Defender of the year, garnered conference first-team honors, and helped the Huskies to two straight NCAA quarterfinals.
