A victory over the Beat on Sunday would not only set a new WPS record for consecutive wins, it would also ensure the franchise's first ever postseason berth. The Bay Area team takes a comfortable 10 point lead over second place [Philadelphia Independence] into Sunday's showdown against their Southern hosts who trail the Pride by 21 points in the WPS standings. The two teams have crossed paths twice so far this season (April 24 and July 3), both games resulted in victories for the Pride.

US Women's National Team and Beat goalkeeper Hope Solo, who allowed four goals in the teams' most recent meeting on July 3, will be looking for redemption against the league's brightest scoring duo of Christine Sinclairand Marta .

Alongside Marta and Sinclair, the Pride expects to have Georgia native and WPS Rookie All-Star Kelley O'Haraback in action the in front line after missing two games with USWNT call ups and one due to illness.
