
FC Gold Pride Celebrates the Grand Opening of Pioneer Stadium

Hayward, CA (June 18, 2010) - FC Gold Pride will celebrate the grand opening of its new home, Pioneer Stadium this Saturday, June 19 with a match against the Boston Breakers. The grand opening is the culmination of a five month renovation project that updated the playing surface, track and surrounding aesthetics of the 66 year old stadium.
The Pride will make its permanent home at California State University, East Bay's Pioneer Stadium and will train for, and host its remaining eight regular season home games at Pioneer Stadium.
The first place Pride (6-2-1) will host Kristine Lilly, Leslie Osborne and the Boston Breakers this Saturday, June 19 at 7 PM, in their first-ever match at Pioneer Stadium. The first 5,000 fans in attendance of Saturday's match will receive a free Marta replicy jersey t-shirt.
