Edmonton, Alberta (April 10, 2013) - The Edmonton Supporters Group are hoping Dark Clouds will part this weekend as the Eddies roll into Minneapolis for a clash against rivals Minnesota United FC.

"We played well enough to get three points from both of our first games on the road I feel and were unlucky to come away with only one," said head coach Colin Miller. "The game against Minnesota is critical this weekend. We'll need a result to not only keep pace but to give us some momentum coming back to Edmonton for our home opener."

Midfielder Neil Hlavaty will make his return to Minnesota after spending three-years with the then-Minnesota Stars FC, winning an NASL Championship in 2011.

"It was difficult moving to a new spot, but I'm settled in nicely now," Hlavaty said to Jon Marthaler of www.startribune.com. "The change is good for my game and doing new things in training and new routines is always good. I don't want to remain comfortable, because any time you're standing still, you're not getting better. I think it's already paid off for me individually at least, and as a team I think we'll start to see results really soon."

The team hopes the results come this weekend against United. Minnesota has only played one game this season, a 0-0 draw against the San Antonio Scorpions in Week 1. They had a bye in Week 2.

The Eddies are coming off their first loss of the season, dropping a 2-1 decision against the RailHawks in Carolina. The Edmonton squad managed a point in Week 1, drawing 1-1 with the Strikers in Fort Lauderdale.

Newly-signed Robert Garrett could make his debut in the midfield and former Eddie Bryan Arguez could feature for United against his old squad on Saturday.
