FC DALLAS BEGINS TRAINING CAMP WITH PHYSICALS AND TEAM MEETING: FC Dallas began their 2005 training camp schedule with physicals and a team meeting at Blue Sky on Monday. The meeting kicked off the first week of training camp for the team that will see them leave Dallas twice, once for Florida (Feb. 7 – 12) and once for Spain (Feb. 26 – Mar. 11). Training sessions the first week in Dallas are scheduled to begin at 10 or 10:30 a.m. The following is a list of the training camp schedule this week along with a numerical roster of the 23 players FC Dallas owns the rights to or has under contract, as of Monday.

TRAINING SCHEDULE:

Tuesday, February 1 10 – 11 a.m. Conditioning @ Twin Creeks in Allen (Directions Below)

Wednesday, February 2 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Training @ The Colony Five Star (Directions Below)

Thursday, February 3 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Training @ The Colony Five Star (Directions Below)

Friday, February 4 10 – 11:30 a.m. Training @ Blue Sky Sports Center – The Colony

Saturday, February 5 10 – 11:30 a.m. Training @ Blue Sky Sports Center – The Colony

Sunday, February 6 DAY OFF

TWIN CREEKS IN ALLEN:

* You will see the fields off of Twin Creeks Drive and McDermott in Allen between Custer and Alma.

THE COLONY FIVE STAR:

* The Colony Five Star – Take 121 South until you hit Paige and go right on Paige (before Main Street)...You will then see the soccer and baseball complex on your left side...Make a U-Turn after complex and then turn right to head back to soccer complex where team will train.

NUNEZ SHINES FOR HONDURAS AT U-20 WORLD CUP QUALIFYING: The Honduras Under-20 National Team finished second in Group B of the U-20 Final Round CONCACAF Qualifying Tournament after a 2-0 victory over Mexico. With the victory, Honduras qualified for the U-20 World Cup in Holland. This marks the fourth time that Honduras qualified for the U-20 World Cup. FC Dallas midfielder Ramon Nunez had an outstanding performance during the tournaments, scoring two goals and registering one assist. Flying back from Honduras today, Nunez is scheduled to be at training tomorrow with FC Dallas.

FC Dallas, a charter member club of Major League Soccer, will begin play in the new 21,193 seat soccer stadium on June 11, 2005. The 117-acre facility will be located at the intersection of Main Street and Dallas North Tollway in Frisco. The Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center will accommodate Major League Soccer matches, major concerts, international soccer matches and High School football. Adjacent to the stadium will be 17 regulation size, tournament-grade soccer fields which will be utilized on a year-round basis. Join us as we celebrate Major League Soccer's 10th season.
