
FC Dallas Selects Three More Players in 2019 MLS SuperDraft 3rd, 4th Rounds

Frisco, Texas - FC Dallas selected forward Eduvie Ikoba (Dartmouth, 63rd overall), forward/midfielder Sam Ebstein (University of California, 87th overall) and goalkeeper Dylan Castanheira (Columbia, 88th overall) in the final two rounds of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas, which was held today via conference call.
Ikoba, 21, played four seasons at Dartmouth College. The forward scored 17 goals and eight assists in 62 appearances for Big Green. He was named to the First Team All-Ivy League and United Soccer Coaches' (USC) All-East Region Second Team in both 2017 and 2018.
Ebstein, 23, played four seasons at University of California. The Golden Bears forward scored seven goals and eight assists in 65 appearances and was recognized on the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team in 2017. He played club soccer for the San Jose Earthquakes U-17/18 Academy team from 2013-2014 and spent the summer of 2015 with Premier Development League's Burlingame Dragons FC.
Castanheira, 23, played four seasons at Columbia University, including three consecutive seasons from 2016-2018. The goalkeeper started in 47 matches, recording 25 shutouts and a 33-10-4 record. He was named to the USC Second Team All-Northeast Region, Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Ivy League in 2018. From 2010-2013, Castanheira trained with Bristol City's Academy in England and played for their U-18 Academy team.
Ikoba, Ebstein and Castanheira join No. 4 Overall pick Callum Montgomery and No. 10 Overall pick John Nelson in Dallas' 2019 draft class.
