
FC Dallas Loans Coy Craft to Energy FC

OKLAHOMA CITY - Energy FC acquired midfielder Coy Craft on loan from FC Dallas through their MLS affiliation partnership.
Craft, a 5-11 midfielder played parts of last season with Energy FC and FC Dallas. With Energy FC, he played in 11 regular season matches, logged 576 minutes and scored three goals. His first goal as a pro was in his first match with Energy FC. The long, rainbow-type shot was among the best goals scored by an Energy FC player during the season. With FC Dallas, was selected to be in the 18 on seven different occasions, including starts in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and CONCACAF Champions League matches.
Most recently, Craft has been training and playing with the U.S. U-20 National team. He's appeared in six matches with the U-20's and converted a penalty shootout attempt in the United States' win over Honduras. The U.S. won the CONCACAF U-20 Championship and qualified for the FIFA 2017 U-20 World Cup. Craft is expected to stay with Energy FC until he departs for the U-20 World Cup training in early May.
Energy FC opens their 2017 regular season on the road this Saturday against the defending Western Conference champion Swope Park Rangers. The match can be seen locally on the newly re-branded News9 Plus starting at 7:30 p.m.
The home opener for Energy FC is Saturday, April 8 against Rio Grande Valley FC at 7 p.m. at Taft Stadium. Tickets are available by calling 235-KICK or visiting energyfc.com.
