COLUMBUS, Ohio - An early goal by FC Dallas forward Fabian Castillo couldn't hold up to a second-half onslaught from the home side as the Columbus Crew scored twice against a 10-man Dallas side to hand the visitors a 2-1 loss at Crew Stadium Saturday night.

Castillo put Dallas on the board early after Brek Shea found the speedy Colombian along the line just past midfield. Castillo dribbled down the line and beat two defenders before driving a shot past goalkeeper Andy Guenebaum at the near post.

Unfortunately for FC Dallas, the advantage wouldn't hold as Zach Loyd received a second caution in the 63rd minute to put the visitors down a man for the second time this week. Four minutes later, Columbus found the equalizer. Justin Meram won the ball in the midfield, took two touches towards the goal and unleashed a low, hard, right-footed shot from 25 yards away that tucked inside the far post.

Nearly 10 minutes later, Columbus pushed ahead after a spectacular fingertip save from FC Dallas goalkeeper Chris Seitz gave the Crew a corner kick. Nemanja Vukovic found Sebastian Miranda all alone outside the 18-yard box and the Chilean defender snapped an improbable header on frame from 20 yards away.

With the loss, FC Dallas fell to 3-6-3 (12 points) on the season, while Columbus improved to 3-4-2 (11 points). The Dallas side returns home to FC Dallas Stadium to host Philadelphia on Saturday, May 19.
