Fayetteville's Josh McQuade Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (November 14, 2012) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Josh McQuade of the Fayetteville FireAntz is the Easton Player of the Week for November 5-11.

McQuade scored three goals, including one game-winner, added three assists and had a +6 rating as Fayetteville won two of three games on the road last weekend.

On Friday, the native of Grimsby, Ontario assisted on two goals as the FireAntz captured a 4-3 overtime win over Pensacola. McQuade scored once and was +2 in Fayetteville's 3-2 loss at Huntsville on Saturday before coming back with two goals and an assist in the FireAntz' 4-1 win over the Havoc on Sunday.

Now in his second season with the FireAntz, McQuade is currently tied for the league lead in goals (5), points (8) and plus-minus rating (+8), while leading the SPHL with 32 shots. McQuade finished third in rookie scoring last year, totaling 48 points (22g, 26a) in 52 games.
