Fayetteville Reacquires Chudney Gray

GREENVILLE, S.C., Dec. 4 – The Fayetteville Patriots have reacquired guard Chudney Gray and released forward Kueth Duany, according to an announcement today by National Basketball Development League director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Patriots' head coach Jeff Capel.

Gray, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound point guard from St. John's ('00), was a seventh-round (42nd overall) selection of the Patriots in the 2003 NBDL Draft. He was released by Fayetteville on Nov. 12. Gray played briefly in the NBDL last season, averaging 11.0 points and 2.0 assists in one regular season game and 7.0 points and 3.5 assists in two playoff games for the Charleston Lowgators.

Duany was Fayetteville's fifth-round pick (30th overall) in the 2003 draft. He played in three games for the Patriots this season, averaging 12.7 minutes, 3.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.

Gray is expected to be in uniform when Fayetteville (2-2) plays host to Columbus (0-4) Friday at the Crown Coliseum. He will wear jersey #7.
