The Albany Empire bring back WR/DB Farrean Toney for 2023 Season
Albany, NY: The Albany Empire announced today that the team has re-signed WR/DB Farrean Toney for 2023 National Arena League season. Toney a native of Ellenwood, Georgia took his first snaps of professional arena football this past spring with the Albany Empire. Empire fans saw Toney in various roles throughout the season, due to Toney's speed and athleticism he puts a lot of stress on opposing and offenses and defenses with this ability to make plays. Toney brings a lot of speed and excitement to the Empire roster which he was able to highlight in 2022 and looks forward to showing more of in 2023.
Farrean Toney ended his 2022 season with three receiving touchdowns and one interception over the course of twelve games. Toney also tallied up six tackles and six pass breakups on the defensive side of the ball. Toney's ability to adapt easily to the Ironman rules of the NAL makes him a dynamic piece to the Empire roster moving forward into 2023.
