Alpena MI: With the Alpena IceDiggers season coming to an end last night in Ann Arbor the IceDiggers staff is planning a skate with the team and a pizza party for any fans wanting to see their favorite player off before he heads home to began the off season. Fans are encouraged to bring their skates to skate with the team. Skate rental will also be available at no charge.
The event will take place at Northern Lights Arena on Sunday April 15, 2007, with a FREE public skate session with the players from 4:00PM to 5:00PM, and after the skate their will be pizza and refreshments for everyone in attendance in the Thunder Bay Recreation Center. Coach Miller and other staff members will speak to the audience.
"This is a way for our great fans who have supported us all year long to get a chance to say goodbye to their favorite player before the guys leave for the summer." said head coach Kenny Miller
The game jersey auction will also end at following the get together. Anyone interested in bidding on these game worn jerseys can email VP/GM Bob Krafft at krafftice@yahoo.com or call the main office at (989) 356-9812. Their are plenty of jerseys to bid on.
