
Phantoms division finals begin Tuesday in Ann Arbor

BOARDMAN, Ohio - The Mahoning Valley Phantoms quest for a second straight trip to the North American Hockey League's Robertson Cup resumes on Tuesday, Apr. 17 when they face the U.S. National Team in the North Division finals.
Team USA will host game one of the best-of-five series from the Ann Arbor (Mich.) Ice Cube at 7 p.m. The series shifts to Boardman for games two and three on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 20-21 from the Ice Zone. Face-off both nights is at 7:30 p.m.
A game four, if necessary, will return to Ann Arbor on Tuesday, Apr. 24 at 7 p.m. Should the series require a decisive fifth game, it will take place on Friday, Apr. 27 at the Ice Zone with a 7:30 p.m. start.
The winner of this series will represent the North Division at the NAHL's Robertson Cup National Tournament, to be held in Fairbanks, Alaska on May 3-6.
Tickets for all three Phantoms home games are available at the Ice Zone ticket booth, located at 360 McClurg Rd. in Boardman, or by calling (330) 965-1423. Prices are $11 for Club Seating, $10 for General Admission and $8 for Students.
A bus trip to Ann Arbor for game one is planned. The bus will leave the Ice Zone at 2 p.m. on Tuesday and return following the game. Fans interested in going may call (330) 759-1748 or (330) 746-1064 ext. 120 for more information.
Both teams advanced to the division final with first-round three-game sweeps. The top-seeded Phantoms defeated the fourth-seeded Marquette Rangers while the Red, White and Blue, seeded third, topped the second-seeded Alpena Ice Diggers.
The Mahoning Valley Phantoms are owned and operated by the B.J. Alan Company- Phantom Fireworks, which is headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio.
